Mini-update: Exo armor & Vehicle sheets!
about 8 years ago – Wed, Jan 18, 2017 at 09:00:25 AM

Hello everyone,

this is just a very quick update to let you all know that the Exo armor & Vehicle sheet is now FINALLY available as a free download on DriveThru!

GET IT HERE

Also, we are of course aware that you are all waiting for the Savage Worlds rules conversion, we are working on it but the end of the year was loaded with a lot of work at Black Books so it didn't come along as quickly as planned, fingers crossed for seeing this peek around sometime soon...

And on another note, translation of Creatures is still running and coming along, some previews are to be expected!

Note that we are also still looking to expand our translation team to allow us to continue working on our international projects in 2017, so if you are fluent in French and English and would like to join our team, drop Laura an e-mail: laura(at)polaris-rpg.com

Thank you all for your patience,

Hello everyone,

we are back from SPIEL in Essen, Germany where we met with a lot of people and some very cool German Polaris fans! So cool :) We even spotted some retailers selling the books - that was awesome!

Polaris around the world!

Hello everybody,

we hope everyone is good out there!

//Updates on the work in progress for the Polaris RPG

First: all packages have been sent out weeks ago and we got a lot of positive feedback and all know of issues have been sorted out so far, BUT if ever you are still waiting for your package, please get in touch with us!

On other news, translation for the Savage Worlds Rules Conversion is complete and files have now moved on to copy-editing! It might still be a few weeks until the PDF can be delivered so we can make sure our Save Worlds experts get a chance to read through it. But we're working on it and it's coming along :)

Translation for "Creatures" has picked up again as well, (by the way, it is not to late to join the team as a French->English translator!), things are on schedule and coming together as well.

Reviews!

For us it is always a great honor to see and read any reviews for Polaris. There was one that made us particularly proud the other day - Polaris RPG was featured on Geek&Sundry!

Shiny review on Geek&Sundry by Michael Holmes! :)

Thanks a lot, that was some awesome news!

But we are also VERY excited about the many fan reviews we receive! Like this uber cool German unboxing video from German Kickstarter Backer Affendämon Tsu:

Yeah, it's in German, but it is cool!

There were also Abraham and John who made some cool video reviews of their thoughts on the Books and PDF's from Polaris. Very interesting, worth listening to! Thank you both for sharing!

SPIEL in ESSEN and a cool announcement!

This weekend marks the date of one of the most important gaming events in the year: The SPIEL in Essen, Germany! We won't be having a booth there BUT part of our production staff will be there AND we will be having something very precious with us...

POLARIS - The Boardgame... Prototype!
POLARIS - The Boardgame... Prototype!

Yes, there is a a Polaris Board game currently in development and we will be bringing the very first English language prototype with us! We don't have any open demos scheduled but if anyone of you has the chance to be there and wants to get a first look at it, drop us a message here! :)

We will be unveiling more info on the game over the upcoming months, for now we are still in the intense play testing stage but there should be a lot going on in 2017 ;) This game will let you take control of one of the major nations, trying to expand and survive as best as possible, it will be up to you to generate enough resources to build up your army, make best profit or your alliances and develop the best game saving technology. Stay tuned ;)

Everything sent out!

Over the past few days things were pretty crazy over here with Polaris packages piling up everywhere (these packs are just huge!). But everything is back to normal now, our fulfillment heroes Nick and Jérôme just dropped off the very last packages and everything is on their way to their new owners now! Expect your parcels soon at your porch and get ready to dive deep into the Polaris books!

Ready to roll!
Ready to roll!

I'd really like to take a moment to express my thankfulness to my colleagues Nick and Jérôme who packed up books tirelessly and again to Tim and Will as well as their teams over in the US who wrapped it all up perfectly and made sure you got what you ordered! These guys were awesome!

If there is any issue with your package, just shoot me a message here :)

But I also want to thank you all for bearing with us during this delay for European fulfillment, we understand your disappointment in the longer wait but hope you still enjoy your books! You are the most amazing backers we could have wished for, we are looking forward to your feedback and thoughts! It's been a very kind of special being able to be so closely in touch with you all :)

And of course there is also more to come! The Savage Worlds rules conversion is in the hands of our translators who are currently checking on the Polaris and Savage Worlds glossary so you'll be able to easily find your way through all the terms in there. A few more weeks until you'll get that PDF as well!

Thank you also to all of you who got in touch for translation and illustration help, we are currently treating your proposals and will soon be ready to set up the new team for the "Creatures" project!

And now enjoy your books and goodies! :)

Best,

Laura & the Polaris RPG Team
