We'll open this update with sad news: Steve Creech, who was working with us on the creature creation rules and potential future PDF-only material for the English-language Polaris line, passed away last week.
During the short time that we worked with Steve, we could only admire his passion and dedication to the Polaris universe. Our thoughts go to his family, and his children in particular.
While we will dedicate the upcoming sourcebook to him, we will not be in a position to publish the creature creation rules he had planned to design.
As announced earlier this month, we are currently in the layout phase for the Creatures PDF.
While we are not investing in new color illustrations for the entire book, there will be a few original ones. For the rest, we're using the original B&W illustrations, taking them through a colorization process to ensure aesthetic consistency throughout the sourcebook.
The layout phase is ongoing and should be wrapped up shortly, then we'll be ready to release the file: expect it soon, early in June.
In the meantime, we're leaving you with a 4-page preview.

The editing phase is now over on the Creatures PDF and the book is now entering its layout phase. The original French version was laid out with the 3rd edition design: the English version will be updated to the current 3.1 design, with color illustrations (including a few new ones) instead of the original B&W.
We're expecting the creature creation rules to be ready soon, and we should be able to post a preview of the laid out files sometime this month.

Dear Polaris backers,
Translation is as planned mostly complete on the translation of the "Creatures" PDF, with an editing phase now underway. We will then be able to start layout.
Work is also continuing to design the creatures creation rules that will be included in the English version of Creatures - we expect to finalize those this month, right ahead of the layout phase.
We'll keep you posted with a preview as soon as we can present one!
